My despatch of 8th November Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank

proposed new Ordinance. Bank desires to amend draft Bill

as follows Delete title as drawn and substitute the following

title quotation begins An Ordinance to amend the

constitution of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking

Corporation quotation ends. Clause 3 Delete as

drawn and substitute as follows quotation begins Bank

shall continue to be and shall remain incorporated but there

shall from henceforth be no limit whatever to the duration

of the period of its incorporation quotation ends. Amend

Clause 18 Subsection 1 and marginal note by adding after

figure 1866 the following words quotation begins
